The Season of Pentecost 2021
May 23 - November 27
The season of Pentecost
(also known as "Pentecostide,"
or "The Season after Pentecost")
immediately follows the season of Easter
and ends when the Season of Advent begins
(this year November 28th).
Themes and teachings representative of this season
include different aspects of the Christian life and faith
(e.g., worship, prayer, learning, service, witness),
different aspects of Christian growth and experience,
and the unique life and influence of the Church,
the body of Christ,
Christians living and working together.
Come and worship with us this Pentecostide!
(Holy Communion is served beginning in June
this summer on June 6th and June 27th.)

New Protocols Effective June 1st
Last month St. John's Church Council
voted to update our Health and Safety Protocols,
including a new method for the distribution
of Holy Communion, use of traditional elements,
no mandatory dismissal, and a gradual plan
to return to a service format to much like
before the coronavirus.
